Lovely Day

Despite the surprise of a 5:30am wake up call from our daughter ... I have determined that it is going to be a lovely Valentine's Day.

A scrumptious breakfast of scrambled eggs with parmesan and fresh basil,
homemade cinnamon raisin bread, and luscious red grapefruit with a hot cup of coffee...
A lovely homemade Valentine from my daughter (with daddy's help)...
A beautiful bouquet of my favorite tulips waiting for me, in a vase...
A sweet Valentine from a friend, hanging in my window...
The bright happy sun shining down on us this morning...
A weekend with my husband home...
More fabulous bread baking in the oven...
A cute new red shirt to wear on this day of hearts...
A wine tour through our little town and dinner following, to look forward to...
Happy loud giggles from the most beautiful daughter ever...

Yes.
It is going to be a lovely day.

I pray your Valentine's Day is just as lovely.

OH that sounds awesome! What a blessing to have such a romantic husband. Seth may be calling him later to say... 'Thanks alot man, I just got an earful from Lacey about making breakfast and homemade Valentines because of YOU'. Hehehehe.... (that was an evil cackle) Well, have a glorious day, and enjoy wine tasting! Love you much dear friend!

oohh....little secret: I actually made that breakfast while he was in a meeting this morn....but Mark got the flowers and made the card w/V. He said he actually put the pen in her hand and tried to write. How cute!!

Ahhh, what a lovely picture and your first Valentine from the Girl!

We spent the day at home cleaning up a bit for relatives coming over today (Sunday) and my tea party next weekend. For dinner we ended up eating at Costco food court because of the time of day. We are babysitting my sister's pets while they are out of town, so in the midst of running errands, we ate at Costo. Sooooo romantic I know but the kids love it. Ahhh the simple things. ha ha

By the way, how do you pronouce your daughters name?

Vienne hand crumpled the card and contributed towards the 'antique' look.

I LOVE that specialized antique look!

And, Janeen - Sounds like a crazy fun V-day! Vienne's name is pronounced: V -N or like the city 'Vienna' without the 'a' at the end.

I'm still trying to figure out how to respond to comments on here and make sure that my readers get them....ach technology! ;D

And here's the other way I respond! ha ha

Isabella is getting into the journals now too. She is becoming a lover of reading (I AM THRILLED about that cuz I love to read) and she uses hers to play pretend and write stories/journal in.

Yes I am passionate about Afternoon Tea! I love the whole experience of it. I enjoy it with my family on the weekends, with my girlfriends, it's just a nice time to sloooooow down and have the music on instead of the TV on. I joke that I should probably be living in the Regency Era of England or somewhere similar that resembles a Jane Austen novel. ha ha
